White Lake is near interesting towns and villages which you may want to explore while vacationing in the area. Nearest to AMIK cottage and to the East is the Town of Calabogie (20 km, 12 mi). In Calabogie there are grocery stores, gas stations, beer and liquor outlets, a laundromat, and other services. 

A few kilometres further down the road from Calabogie is the Village of Burnstown where you will find a fine cafe, artists' studios, and a variety of shops and galleries. Finally, at Hwy. 417, the Town of Arnprior</a> ( 60 km, 37 mi from AMIK) offers all of the services and amenities of a  medium sized city.

West of AMIK cottage on Highway 511 is found the Purdon Conservation area which boasts a woods filled with over 16,000 orchids.  Next is the village of Lanark which is the administrative centre of the area followed by the Village of Balderson which offers a factory cheese store, Village Treats chocolates, a tea room,  and antique and clothing stores. A few kilometres further down the road is the Town of Perth which is 60 km from AMIK) and situated on the Rideau Canal system. Perth offers good restaurants and most services.

Other area destinations include the towns of Renfew, Almonte, Carleton Place and Algonquin Park.

On White Lake itself,
limited grocery supplies can be obtained from Cedar Cove Resort on Three Mile Bay. This  location and Pickeral Bay Lodge can be reached by boat and both sell live bait and gasoline. Pickerel Bay Lodge rents motor boats.

WHITE LAKE COTTAGE RENTAL
